What is your role at Artisan?

Senior Recruitment Consultant

What is your proudest moment working at Artisan?

Celebrating 10 years at Artisan was a big achievement - not only was it a celebration with all of the great people I work with, there were videos with past Artisan team mates from around the world. It was brilliant that while we can do what we do anywhere, the people around you make a big difference.

What has been your weirdest/funnest moment at Artisan?

I did get trapped in an elevator during an Artisan Conference. Always carry your phone into an elevator - you just never know.

What does a typical day look like for you?

A lot of time on the phone, talking with companies and organisations about what the plan is and what their team will be needing coming up. Its always great having a big project to work on. Searching for the right freelancer for any projects on my desk. Checking in on all of the live projects that are happening. Coaching new people that are looking for Artisan to help them with their next step in their career. Keeping in touch with our freelancers that are ready for their next freelance assignment. Drinking coffee and talking with the team here at Artisan.

How many years have you been in the industry?

13 years in March 2021.

Check out how many years we have combined in this video!

How do you express your creativity?

I have a lot of plants, looking after them is a beautiful passion. Creativity and living plants is amazing. Nothing better than getting creative in the kitchen and what ever cooking creation comes up delicious and beautiful. Or hideously delicious - I'll take either.

What is your hidden talent?

I'm very good at making jam and marmalade.

You’re happiest when?

When that cork flies out of a bottle of champagne. These days being able to hug my family and friends would be something I wish I did more of before 2020, I didn't realise it made me as happy as it did.

What advices would you give a 12 year old you?

Lighten up kid. The world is an amazing place, get out and explore it.

Where is your hometown?

I grew up in Canberra. Good times, good people. Always great going back and visiting the old city.

Describe yourself in three words.

Caffeinated plant daddy.
