Was it just last week we were here, offering you the highlights from the last seven days of internet frolicking? 50 YEARS LATER, HEINZ APPROVES DON DRAPER’S ‘PASS THE HEINZ’ AD AND IS ACTUALLY RUNNING THEM

Mad Men’s beloved ad man might not have scored the big Heinz account in the hit TV show, but the fictional Don Draper’s commercial creativity will soon be seen in real life now that Heinz tomato sauce are actually going to run with a campaign he pitched. So, fake ad pitched by fake ad man gets picked up by real company in real life. A little confusing? Nah, it’s just Heinz doing some smart work appealing to Mad Men devotees and making the most of a pretty good pitch that was just sitting there in TV land doing nothing!

 

 

TALENT ALONE WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH (THIS WILL FREE YOUR MIND TO DO ITS BEST WORK)

It’s easy to be sceptical of online posts offering tips on how to encourage creativity (a cynic might be tempted to argue that there are way more thinkpieces on how to be creative than there are examples of true creativity) but this short but punchy piece actually has some wise words of advice, and a couple of killer quotes from greats like Vincent Van Gogh, Salvador Dali, and Albert Einstein.
