Instagram launches new business tools

Instagram is the perfect channel for generating brand exposure and for companies to be able to open up a dialogue with new customers and potential partners. However, compared to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, they’ve always been a bit behind in the business game.

With more companies on Instagram than ever before, businesses wanted a way to set themselves apart from the rest, get post insights and promote posts to reach new customers.

Therefore, Instagram are introducing business profiles, a free feature for accounts wanting to be recognised as a company on the channel. Having one will mean businesses can choose how their customers get in touch with them using the contact button. As well as being able to see how their posts are performing and being given the option to turn their most popular posts into promoted ads in the hope of enticing new customers.

Instagram has confirmed that these new business tools will be rolled out to across Australia, New Zealand and the US over the coming months, and will be available globally by the end of 2016.
