When did you join the Artisan family?

Describe your role and what a typical day would entail?
Along with my fellow Artisan’s my role is to spot great creative talent and find work for them in the Design Industry. A typical day? There isn’t one – every day is different and presents with new challenges which is why I love it!

How would you describe the culture at Artisan?
Unique and perfect for those, like me, who love a family feel environment which attracts authentic people.

What do you enjoy most about working at Artisan?
The mirror ball above my desk and listening to Lawrence’s dulcet tones.

What is one skill that you’ve developed since working at Artisan
Apple Mac skills

What were you doing prior to Artisan?
Recruiting talent who specialise in financial services since 1996

Tell us about your best and worst employment experience…
The best – I’m having it now at Artisan
The worst – two bad choices over 20 years and both involved stuffy cultures

What makes a great work environment?
The people and good music being pumped through the office

What is the most common mistake you find businesses making when looking for new staff?
Looking for clones of people instead of looking for someone who is possibly left of centre that will bring fresh ideas.

What makes a successful interview?
You know an interview has been successful when your candidate starts referring you on to their friends.

What achievements are you the most proud of?
Making it home in one piece after my first Artisan party ;-)

What do you find yourself doing in your spare time?
Hanging out with my puppy Imelda, spending time with friends, searching for new Trance music and traveling the world.

I’m outgoing, love a laugh, really love a boogie and I’m an incredibly loyal person. I value respect and consideration in others and that’s what you’ll get back from me. I love my work and am truly passionate about helping people find their dream jobs.
