What sparked your passion for design?
From my childhood I was fond of comic books and by growing and still while reading always have an eye on creative designs.
How creative were you as a youngster?
I was very creative. I loved drawing and colouring.
Do you come from a creative family? Were they supportive of your desire to be a designer?
No, I was not from a creative family. But I had some relatives who were highly creative. However, my family were very supportive.

What sort of education and training have you had?
I had completed a Computer diploma (Desktop publishing) course. More than education I attained knowledge from working and still.
Who did you want to work for when you first entered the industry?
Not for any particular organization. I was aiming for long term and learn as much as from there.
Tell us about your first project and what do you feel about it now?
It was excellent and that taught me especially about content’s accuracy’s importance on a design.
What is your preferred software to work with and what has been the greatest advancement in technology over the past 5 years?
Adobe InDesign. I think e-book device.
What are the various mediums that you’ve worked with and is there any that you would like to explore?
I have worked in different countries with numerous languages, like English, Chinese, French, and German etc. Not looking to particularly explore anything but if get any chance to explore anything new will definitely accept.
Is digital technology going to eliminate the need for print?
I think it will make a huge impact on print design.

Whose work do you really admire and why?
I could say about one of my previous colleague, his exceptional thoughts and the procedures and wide knowledge to putting things together is outstanding.
Who has been the greatest person that you’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and what have they taught you?
I can’t say any one particularly from the few. I have learned technology, creativity, management all from different persons.
What has been your greatest achievement so far?
I have attained good technical and management skill by doing different kind of publishing jobs.

How would you describe your work?
Outstanding! Very organized and high quality work.
What are your plans for the future?
Don’t have any particular plan other than keep working on for at least next ten years.
What sort of company would you like to work with next?
That can be any kind of organization that acknowledges the good works.
What is your opinion of Australian design?
It’s good; I think there is enough and more freedom to think.
What is the best/worst thing about being a designer in Australia?
Can’t comment now!
In your opinion, what is the greatest challenge the Australian design industry has to face in the near future?
I don’t think there would be any challenge; however, cost-cutting is always a challenge.

What is your creative outlet outside of design?
Watching comedy movies, playing cricket and sometimes do some experiment in kitchen with new recipes.
What is the best designed bar in Melbourne?
I will comment on this once after visiting Melbourne. Thanks for asking me about Melbourne, if it was about Brisbane I would have been in trouble!
